Bingo Country

Kiwanis / Shriners Bingo Country

The joint acquisition of Bingo Country by the Kiwanis Club of Charlottetown and the Island Shrine Club in 1995 has turned out to be a very positive development for both clubs and for the charities which ultimately benefit. Both Clubs are equal shareholders and the sole owners of Bingo Country.

Inside Bingo Country

The decision to buy a large operation like this took considerable courage on the part of both clubs. It required a substantial commitment in terms of both financial resources from both clubs and club members’s time in the planning and transition. A committee with members of the Kiwanis and Shrine clubs was formed to oversee the process. Many long hours were put in by these members, all of whom volunteer their time and efforts.

Significant renovations to the building are planned in a three-phase project intended to provide bingo players with a more convenient and enjoyable environment. The first phase which has been recently completed was providing additional washrooms and improved handicapped access.

Bingo is held 5 days a week

Bingo is played Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, and on Sundays at 2:30 pm.
